Guess?, Inc. Receives Request to File Shelf Registration Statement

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 27, 2002--Guess?, Inc. (NYSE: GES) today said that it has received a request from the Armand Marciano Trust, pursuant to a Registration Rights Agreement, dated August 1, 1996, that the Company file a shelf registration statement to register all of its shares of the common stock of the Company. Armand Marciano, the Company's Senior Vice President and Assistant Secretary, is currently on medical leave from the Company.

The 6,485,492 shares held by the Armand Marciano Trust represent substantially all of the shares controlled by Armand Marciano. The Company expects to file the registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the near future.
