Guess and Fossil Agree to Termination of License Negotiations for Guess Watches

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Guess?, Inc. (NYSE: GES) announced today that Guess?, Inc. and Fossil, Inc. have terminated negotiations for a global license agreement for Fossil to produce and distribute Guess? watches. Guess and Fossil were unable to reach agreement regarding certain material terms. On August 26, 2005, the two companies announced that they were in advanced negotiations for a global watch license.

Guess?, Inc. designs, markets, distributes and licenses a lifestyle collection of contemporary apparel, accessories and related consumer products. At August 27, 2005 the Company owned and operated 302 retail stores in the United States and Canada.
